First “Cash for Clunker”, second $ 360 million to China to manufacture small trucks in China, Now come get your new GM vehicle, drive it for four weeks and if you don’t like it, just bring it back.
Was this in the plan all the time to upgrade used cars in the us. It is for sure that in a month from now the Government Motors dealers will only have a lot full of used cars which have lost 30% of their value.
Another example of government managing businesses and creating jobs.

Whoever told you Obama is CEO of GM was lying to you. But then, no one with any brain would have believed it.
Uh, Cash for Clunkers wasn’t a GM thing, but a government thing, wildly successful, and helped GM, among others. (GM had to rehire many they’d laid off, which was a GOOD thing.)
Dunno what new vehicle you’re babbling about. Or what used cars you’re referring to.
The Obama administration HAS saved and created jobs, with more job-creation to come.

always get a carfax report from the dealer before you buy if it’s a used car. the report will have all damage listed on it. that way if something comes up that there is damage not listed you are protected.

Question by nipsy3: Do you have to have proof of routine maintenance for a dealer (BMW) to honor an automotive warranty?
I recently bought a BMW which was pre-owned certified, but still has the balance of factory warranty left. During BMWs factory warrany period, all routine maintenance is performed free of charge, so I have those records. The factory warranty has just ran out, but the pre-owned warranty (I think 5 years/100,000 miles, bumper to bumper) has kicked in. If something goes wrong, do I need to have proof that the maintenance was done up to that point? Or only if maintenance is relative to the failure?

Don’t fool around with warranties, YES. Make a folder today and all maintenance records keep them in it.
I have a customer that has a Mini and their service is at 10K but the customer has his oil and car serviced by my shop every 4K, he is required to take it in to the Mini/BMW dealer for their service or the warranty is void should something go wrong. It is their way of not honoring the 100K warranty….Nice Huh!
Service records include tire purchases and alignments, even if you buy a bulb fo the headlight, toss it in.
Check your specific warranty for things that void it and make sure you have record of them.

If you think a crime has been committed contact your local PD. If this person represented himself as a dealer than he/she must provide you with a number. If they refuse than they are guilty of fraud and you can lodge a complaint against them. If you have any paperwork where the seller is representing himself as a dealer you have them stone cold.

I’m wanting to start a consulting business for people that don’t have the time or desire to go into the dealerships. I will do all the research, take the vehicles to them and the car is theirs.

I have never heard of an “auto consultant”. I do however plan on never buying from a car dealer ever again. After running a used car dealership for awhile, I now know how to buy a used car for a fraction of the price and avoiding shifty car dealerships.
