Question by Geoffrey: how do I obtain a dealer’s license to buy from Auto Auctions?
I want to buy a car from an auction and want to know first if I need a license, and second, how to get a dealer’s license.

At the auction, you probably need to register as a bidder, and pay a fee to get the privilege to bid. Check with the auction company.
Check with the city government about the dealer’s license, but that may be state issued. The city will also issue the tax permit for sales tax.

Question by Nicholas: How do you get a dealer’s license in Texas for auto auctions?
There is a place in Houston, TX that has cheap cars and bikes with very little body damage on them. Catch is, you have to have a dealers license to get these things. Does anybody know how i have to go about getting one?

Question by i need A’s: What are good paying mechanic dealers?
I want to be a automotive technician I was thinking BMW cause I owned a couple but any other dealers that are good paying? I want to look for good schools I don’t care where they are located I was thinking UTI cause they have that BMW program

F bmw be a diesle mechanic. My dad’s friend is one and always talks about they are so short handed. If you go up north to the oil fields you can make 80 k a year starting.

Question by T Daniel: What types of Scams do car dealers do to make a car seem better than it is?
I am thinking of getting a 95 Cadillac Seville STS. Seems like a nice car. It drives well anyway. It is from a small dealership and a friend said that I should watch out for small dealers because they can typically do things like put saw dusat in the transmission or heavy gear oil in the crank case to allow the car to get a few extra miles out of it so it can sold faster and at a higher rate. Anyone ever heard of anything else I should look for?

Be sure and check the vin# on this car for wrecks, water damage, etc. And be sure to check sources to make sure what the car is worth. This car is 12 years old, so it’s not gonna be perfect. Most new car dealerships probably wouldn’t have this car on the lot because of the age, so it might not be a bad car. Just have a mechanic check it out. Good luck!
